"Bo and Oscar"
Bo and Oscar
I have a habit (you judge whether it's good or bad) of doodling in class. Most of them are just random doodles, but some I end up keeping. My lastest I liked enough to scan and CG it. It's the two main characters from my newest creation:
Love Pet (ラブペット).
I've started writing the script for LovePet, and drawing character concepts. I'd like to get it to storyboard stage soon, though I'm scared that it will get stuck at that stage along with Magic M and the Legend of the Ztarr short story. I'm anticipating that LovePet will be a one-shot for now, about 40 pages or so.
Ofcourse, I haven't forgotten about Secrets of Sorcerers! It's the only one so far that has reached the webmanga stage, and it's the only one with devoted readers/fans! I've been drawing and I promise updates are on the way. ^_^

A New Manga..."Love Pet"
It's probably not a good idea to be starting another manga when I'm still busy with trying to get more SoS updates...but I can't help myself. I don't create manga just because I like drawing anime; I draw anime because I like telling stories, and drawing is my way of telling them. ...and so, as a result, I have many manga that are still in their conceptual stages.
The newest one is called "Love Pet". The drawing above (click to enlarge) is one I just did of the main character "Oscar". The story revolves around a cat who makes a wish to become human. The drawin above is obviously his human form.
Anywho, I have a few sketches but I haven't uploaded or scanned them all yet. Look for a LovePet website in the future!
As for SoS: I have a lot of drawing to do. I have run out of "buffer pages". Also, the pages left that I have scanned are about a year old now almost and so I DONT LIKE THEM anymore (I can draw much much better now). So I'm going to redraw them (which actually doesn't take as long as drawing them the first time).
I did my school assignments for tomorrow, so things are looking up! I hope to make a schedule of updates that I can follow for SoS.
That's it for now! Tell me what you think of "Oscar" ^_~

The New Year...

January is almost over now, and school has started up again. I'm almost done, this is my graduating year, then it's off into the workforce...
Since this is my last semester, my focus will be on graduating; SoS updates will slow down. T_T I don't like this any more than my dedicated readers do...but I have been maintaining the site everyday, even if it is just something small.
The page I'm uploading right now (chapter 3, page 11), is a little different than the other chapter 2 & 3 pages. I usually ink my pages digitally with my tablet, but I didn't like the scanned page I had, so I drew it over again. I liked the original pencil so much that I inked it by hand and scanned it in to add the tones. The lines may look a lot rougher than my usual lines, but I find that the characters end up looking slighty different when I use Illustrator to ink them. I really liked the way Takeshi looked in this drawing, and I didn't want to change him.
I really like getting messages from SoS 'fans' who tell me specific stuff about the manga. I get a lot of "great comic" and "like your style" stuff (^_^ thanks for the nice compliments btw), but what I really love is when people tell me "I really love Takeshi! He's so hot" or "Korin is my favourite character, tee hee!". Maybe I'll get a poll running to see which male character has the biggest following, once the story gets rollin' more and more male characters are introduced ^-^.
Btw...the Picture above is one I did of Lela for a manga competition. I sent a few entries all the way to London, England. I doubt that any will win anything, there are a lot of entries and I'm not the best illustrator; My CG drawings don't look as fancy as most ppl's 'cause I prefer the 'cell style' colouring. But, if by some chance I do win some prize money, it's going to go towards the Doujinshi fund ^_^
